Database Systems

Students taking this module as part of a course on Database Systems will gain experience working with databases for mobile devices. Topics covered include: personal information management (PIM), storage models such as the Persistent Storage APIs, Record Management System (RMS), and SQLite which is supported on BlackBerry OS 5.0 devices. The mini-project puts students into small groups to develop a state-of-the-art application for viewing and managing news articles from the Web.
